Maison Blanche has been creating stunning scented soy candles since 2012. Each candle is carefully hand-poured in Sydney Australia.

Founder Kristy Payne, believes that the burning experience is everything; a candle that looks and smells nice isn't worth anything if it doesn't burn correctly. Maison Blanche is a business close to our heart who shares similar earth-friendly principles.

Every candle is meticulously handmade from 100% pure soy wax, with no nasty additives. Proud to be an eco-conscious business, they have selected high quality glassware to for their candles; so that once the candle is finished the container can be reused.

As we are in the business of celebrating Australian talent, what is your favourite place to visit in Australia?

Ulladulla is my favourite weekend getaway spot. Great whale watching and coffee culture.

A little closer to home, what is your favourite coffee haunt?

I love Coco Cubano in Darlinghurst Sydney. They have amazing rose flavoured coffee that reminds me of Havana!

What 3 words to describe your product?

Simple, unique and quality.

Where do you see your business going in the 5 years?

I hope to take Maison Blanche to Asia within the next year, and then US year after.

Who has influenced you most in your life?

I would have to say my Dad. I inherited his strong work ethic and drive for success, and he’s always the person i turn to when i need someone to help me make an important work decision.

What is your philosophy towards your work and life?

I wish i could say it was to have a healthy balance, but to be honest, i work almost every day, and really enjoy it. Im also hoping that all the time I’m putting in now, will set me up in the future to be able to live a comfortable existence, where i can work on creating a good work/life balance.

As we are in the gift giving business, what was the most recent gift you gave someone?

Last weekend I gave my friend a bottle of moonshine for his 31st birthday to remind him of his Texas home.

Which bindle would you pick for yourself?

'Serious about cheese'!! Yum!

Favourite fictional character?

Denis Reynolds from Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
