As we are in the business of celebrating Australian talent, what is your favourite place to visit in Australia?
It doesn’t get much better than hiking in the Victorian Highplains. A trail called the Crosscut Saw is a particular favourite – it has breathtaking views and is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

A little closer to home, what is your favourite coffee haunt?
I love Faraday’s Cage in Fitzroy. They have great coffee and food in a cool, old, character filled building.

Who are you currently reading?
This is rather nerdy I know, but a book on loudspeaker design. I’m working on a little side project trying to build some great sounding portable Bluetooth speakers with the same ethos of beautiful materials as our toys.

What 3 words to describe your product?
The perfect gift

Where do you see your business going in the 5 years?
While I want to keep the business boutique and locally made, in 5 years I would love to have a steady volume of export to Asia.

Who has influenced you most in your life?
My parents. It’s a bit of a cliché I know, but without some of their work ethic having rubbed off on me, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to pursue my dream of starting a business.

What is your philosophy towards your work and life?
Always try to be learning something new. I’d get bored pretty quickly otherwise!

As we are in the gift giving business, what was the most recent gift you gave someone?
I gave my brother a nice bottle of Scotch whisky for his birthday. In addition to its taste, I love the nuance, sense of tradition and adventure of trying different distilleries and regions.

Which bindle would you pick for yourself?
Coming out of winter, it’s been way too long since the BBQ was fired up, so BBQ Besties. My mouth is watering just looking at all these goodies!



Favourite fictional character? 
It’s pretty hard to go past James Bond!
