Bindle is beyond excited to have been listed as a finalist in the 2021 National Retail Awards and congratulates Vivra as the winner of the Small Retailer of the Year category.

“To have been listed as a finalist is a huge honour” said Bindle Managing Director, Catherine Blackford, “The calibre of businesses that we were listed beside was incredible and we pass on our congratulations to the other finalists within the Small Retailer of the Year category – Etoile, morsl, The Party People and of course category winners Vivra.”

It was acknowledged during the awards ceremony how tough the past 18 months has been for retail, but also how essential the services, and the people behind these services, are. Despite the uncertainty and challenges faced over the past year or so, Bindle has shown a commitment to continuous improvement and growth in all areas of the business. With tangible results in sustainability, brand identity and customer service Bindle has forged its own path through the global pandemic and this was recognised and acknowledged by the National Retail Awards judges.

Catherine said, “Although we weren’t crowned the winners, we are so proud to have been able to grow our employee and supplier numbers and develop a strategy to give back to the community through the Nurture 4 Nurses campaign and our charity partner program. Our employees and suppliers - the Bindle family - are the most important part of our business and no doubt without their continued dedication and commitment we wouldn’t have even been considered for the National Retail Awards.”

Bindle will take a moment to raise a glass and celebrate this wonderful achievement for a business that started in a storage cupboard in Abbottsford, to now being recognised as amongst the nation’s best. But the Bindling shall not dwindle - believe it or not, Christmas orders are already rolling in!
